Cat Command Remote Control for Construction

Cat Command Remote Control for Construction

Overview

Cat Command is an advanced remote control system that takes operators off the machine and away from potential dangers when working with hazardous materials or in unsafe conditions. The system's deep integration with machine systems ensures smooth and precise control for optimal efficiency and productivity.

Benefits & Features

Ensure A Safe Job Site

    • Remove operators from hazardous jobsite conditions by controlling machines from a safe distance.
    •
    • Eliminate operator safety risks from potentially dangerous situations, including - wall collapses, falling debris, steep slopes, and unstable surfaces.
    •
    • Lower potential injuries from slips, trips, and falls when climbing on and off machines.
    •
    • Remove operator risk from machine rollover or sliding.
    •
    • The system includes multiple redundant safety features to stop all machine motion if a stop switch is activated, wireless communications are lost, or a severe fault is detected.

Enhance Productivity

    • Restart production immediately following disruptive processes, such as blasting in quarry applications.
    •
    • Operators can quickly and easily switch between Cat Command installed machines, and change jobsite locations, with no downtime.
    •
    • Reduce operator fatigue by eliminating the in-cab effects of vibration, noise, and rough terrain.
    •
    • Control a machine with the same response time as sitting in the cab.
    •
    • Select and activate machine features as though the operator was in the machine.*
    •
    • Allow operators who have had medical concerns to return to work and operate machines earlier.

    * Command Console users may have some operator assist feature limitations; refer to the operation and maintenance manual for specifics. Operator assist features for the Command Console are not available in the Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Cat Command Console

    • Allows the user to work safely and comfortably outside the machine, while remaining onsite and in direct visual contact by line of sight.
    •
    • Provides line-of-sight operation from up to 400 meters (437 yds.) away.
    •
    • Operator inputs are sent directly to the machine electronics via a dedicated radio transmitter/receiver, resulting in real-time implement control.
    •
    • Up to 10 hours of continuous operating time, with a charging time of 4 hours or less.
    •
    • Does not require any on-site communications infrastructure.
    •
    • Utilizes a secured 2.4 GHz radio connection.*
    •
    • The machine will shut down if the Console is tipped more than 45 degrees, indicating that the operator may have fallen.

    * Some regions allow 900 MHz connections, consult your Cat Dealer for details.
