Operator Station and Instrumentation
Ergonomic Control

At the touch of a switch, the operator can choose between fresh, recirculated or (optional) air conditioning.
Joystick Control
Joysticks control all implements and swing functions with minimal effort. The integrated joystick consoles adjust to operator preference.
Hand or Foot Actuated Travel Controls
Hand or foot actuated travel controls allow the operator to move the excavator while working the front-end.
Hydraulic Activation Control Lever
Hydraulic activation control lever deactivates hydraulic functions and prevents start-up when the operator exits the cab.
Suspension Seat
The fully adjustable optional suspension seat includes an impressive range of comfort features. It has fore/aft height and weight adjustments and a retractable seat belt.
Integrated Seat and Console
The 307B seat and consoles are installed on sliding mounts, which allow them to move backward and forward as a unit.
Instrumentation
The 307B uses the new instrument panel which is on the right console, so the operator can monitor the machine's conditions while remaining seated. Moving the instrument panel to the right console improves the operator's right side vision.
Steering
Controls are pilot-operated for reduced efforts. Two hand levers with optional pedals control steering and travel functions.
Implement Controls
Two joystick hand levers actuate boom, stick, bucket and swing (SAE pattern).
Serviceability
Ground Level Maintenance
All daily maintenance areas are situated where they can be easily reached from ground level.
Autolubricator (Attachment)
The autolubricator uses an electric pump to automatically supply grease to all greasing points except bucket, linkage and swing bearings. This device greatly reduces the difficulty and time required for greasing.
Hydraulics
Hydraulic System
Two variable displacement, axial-piston pumps power the boom, stick, swing, bucket, auxiliary and travel circuits. One single-section, gear-type pump powers the pilot circuit.
Undercarriage and Blade
Drive
Drive system is fully hydrostatic.
Tracks
The 450 mm (18") T.G. shoe with holes is available as a standard for the 307B and has four holes for rubber pad installation.
Dozer Blade
Two dozer blades are available as an attachment on the 307B. The 2300 mm width blade is available for the 450 mm shoe and the 240 mm width blade is available for the 600 mm shoe.
Durable Structures
Quality and Durability
The 307B's structural components are the backbone of the machine's durability and strength.
Sealed Link
The 307B uses Caterpillar track which is sealed using Belvil seals. These seals prevent dirt and debris from entering the pin and bushing joint, leading to a longer wear life.
Urethane Paint
The 307B features a polyurethane topcoat on the entire upper structure. The new coating is more resistant to weathering and fading than the alkyd topcoat used on previous models.
DT Electrical Connectors
To improve resistance to water and vibration, the connectors have been changed from sure-seal to DT electrical connectors.
Controllability
Positive flow control
In this positive flow control system, pump flow is minimized to improve fuel efficiency when idling. The positive flow control system improves the controllability of the 307B.
Smoother Cylinder Stops
On each valve spool, the 307B employs flow force countermeasures to reduce valve spool counterforce. As a result, jerky boom and stick movements are reduced.
Pilot Line Air Bleeder Mechanism
An automatic air bleeder mechanism has been added to the control valve. When the implement and travel lever are actuated. This improves implement and travel response.
