BB740Non-Current

BB740 - COSA

Overview

The BB740 is a triple-axle wheel-type paver. It is suitably sized to pave city streets and town centers, parking lots and general maintenance and repair works.BB740 high transfer speed permits the paver to cover short-to-medium distances from one site to another without a trailer performing a significant percentage of paving per day job.The BB740 is also suitably sized to operate in medium-to high-production asphalt applications that include urban and rural roads, industrial sites and jobsites that require frequent roading of the paver.Screed available: RBE274 (LPG Heating). Standard Paving Width: 2.5 m - Maximum Paving Width: 5.6 m - Minimum Paving Width: 1 m.

Benefits & Features

Carriage

Triple axle carriage; two steering axles and one drive axle. Four large steering bogey wheels mounted to the front oscillating axle rocker arms. The rear tires assure a good adherence even on irregular terrain. Two oscillating and adjustable push rollers are fixed to the front part of the machine.

Transmission

Hydromechanic transmission. A variabledisplacement pump feeds the drive system fitted with a twodisplacement piston motor directly connected to the gearbox. An electric servo-control consents machine starting and stopping (for asphalt supply, etc.) with no preset working speed variation. Self-locking differential with final reduction gears in oil bath.

Screed

The screed consists of two central fixed plates and two lateral mobile plates, hydraulically operated, sliding on a telescopic cylindrical guide chromium plated. The smoothing plates are made of wear resisting undeformable steel. The easy modification of the plate axis allows modifications of shapes (V W ) with different angles (+4.5%; -2.5%) according to the job requirements. When the machine stops (for asphalt supply, etc.), the two screed jacks automatically lock in order to avoid undesired marks on the material laid.

Screed Assist

The screed is equipped with an electrohydraulic device maintaining a constant screed pressure on the bituminous mix, independently from the mix bearing capacity and the paving width. It is also possible to transfer part of the screed weight to the drive axle of the machine, thus increasing remarkably its adherence to the ground.

Brakes

The hydrostatic drive acts as the service brake; the safety and parking brakes is mechanical disk spring-applied system type and can be applied manually from the console panel. A positive disk braking system produces a proportional braking effect.

Driving Position and Controls

The machine is fitted with two adjustable seats and a sliding console panel. Sliding operator seats are available on request and can be positioned also outside the machine frame in order to guarantee maximum view from both sides of the machine. The console panel is fully equipped with all main operating controls and warning lights. Vibrator control is located at the rear of the machine. All solenoid valves of the hydraulic system can be manually operated and main machine components can be easily reached guaranteeing fast and efficient service interventions.

Hopper and Feeding System

The independent movement of the two side wings is obtained by means of two hydraulic cylinders. The bottom plate of the hopper is built of wear-resisting steel. Two conveyors, independently controlled each side, are made of wear-resisting steel. Material conveyed to both sides is spread by two augers, each of them independently controlled and reversible. Four automatic stop feed devices control material supply by acting either on the two conveyors or the two augers.

Lighting System

Fully equipped with work and travel for road circulation.
