The 400 Series is a proven family of engines designed to give you optimised performance and robust technology appropriate for the smaller engine sector.The series is designed to meet EU Stage IIIA/U.S. EPA Tier 4 Interim as well as the more recent Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Final emission standards.If you're looking for additional power, the 3 cylinder 1.7 litre 403-17 model provides up to 30 kW (40.2 hp) from an engine that is ideal for a wide range of small off-highway applications. The compact design of these engines makes them suitable for a range of applications, including skid steer loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders, welders, lift platforms, lighting towers, small tractors, air compressors, turf care machinery and materials handling machinery.Each of the six core engines in the 400 Series is configured for either Stage IIIA/Tier 4 Interim or Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Final emission standards, giving you flexibility depending on your market.
